Refunds
Try before you buy. Every plug-in has a fourteen-day trial with no feature limitations. Install it, put it on a real mix, and decide afterwards. That is the honest way to know whether it is for you, and it is why our refund terms below are what they are.
Your right of withdrawal, and why it ends at download
Under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, and Article 59 of the Italian Consumer Code, the fourteen-day right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content delivered immediately, provided that:
- you gave your express prior consent for delivery to begin at once, and
- you acknowledged that by doing so you lose your right of withdrawal.
At checkout you are asked to confirm both. Once you confirm and the download becomes available, the statutory right of withdrawal is spent.
This is standard across the software industry, and it is the reason we give you a full trial instead: you get to evaluate the product properly, without having to buy first.
When we refund anyway
Statutory rights are the floor, not the ceiling. We will refund you in these cases:
- The software does not work on a system we say it supports, and we cannot fix it for you within a reasonable time. Please contact us first: most installation and authorisation problems are solved in a couple of emails.
- You bought the same product twice, or bought a product already included in a bundle you own.
- The product is materially different from what this website describes.
- You were charged and never received a licence.
In these cases write to us within thirty days of the purchase.
When we do not refund
- You did not use the trial, bought the plug-in, and then decided you do not like the sound.
- Your computer does not meet the stated system requirements, which are published on each product page.
- You changed your mind after downloading.
- The introductory price ended, or the product later went on sale for less.
None of this affects your legal rights if the product is faulty or not as described. Under Directive (EU) 2019/770 you are entitled to have non-conforming digital content brought into conformity, or to a price reduction or termination where that is not possible.
How to ask
Write to info@smartaudioplugins.com with your order number and a short description of the problem. We answer within two working days. Approved refunds are issued through Audioloom, which processed the original payment, and normally reach your account within five to ten working days depending on your bank.
If we cannot agree
If you are a consumer in the European Union and we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
